Bulk Configuration

The Bulk Configuration attribute shows the version and the file size of the Field Device's bulk configuration file. There can be two different versions of the file, one in ClearSCADA and one in the Field Device.

 

A bulk configuration file is part of the Field Device configuration which comprises:

These files define how the Field Device operates. The bulk configuration file contains the vendor-specific configuration that the Field Device needs to meet its operational requirements. For more information, (see WITS Bulk Configuration Files, Incremental Configuration Files, and Application Program Files).

 

If there are two different versions of the bulk configuration file, the Status display shows the following information for this attribute:

Outstation: <version>, Master Station: <version> (<file size> bytes).

If either the Field Device or ClearSCADA does not have a bulk configuration file, then its <version> will be 'None'.

 

If the version of the bulk configuration file is the same in both ClearSCADA and the Field Device, the Status display shows the following information for this attribute:

Version: <version> (<file size> bytes).

 

If there is no bulk configuration file in either ClearSCADA or the Field Device, the Status display shows 'None' for this attribute.
