Define the WITS Callback Time Period
You can specify the acceptable time period for a WITS Field Device to respond to a callback request from the ClearSCADA server.
You would issue a callback request to check that a Field Device can dial into the ClearSCADA server (see Callback for WITS Network Connections)). Typically, you would do this for Field Devices that are not scheduled to regularly dial into ClearSCADA (see Scheduled PSTN Dial In for a WITS Outstation) and see Scheduled Network Connections for a WITS Outstation).
When you issue a callback request, ClearSCADA dials out to the Field Device and requests a callback. If the ClearSCADA server does not receive a callback within the time period that you specify, ClearSCADA raises an alarm.
To specify the acceptable time period for a Field Device to respond to a callback request, first select the WITS section in the Global Parameters branch in the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool. Use the From and To fields within the Callback section to specify the period (see Working with the ClearSCADA Server Configuration Tool in the ClearSCADA Guide to Server Administration).
