Each Application Program item in ClearSCADA, when configured, contains an application program. You can download this program to a Field Device by using the Download Configuration action.
When you select Download Configuration for an Application Program, its program is downloaded to the Field Device).
With PSTN and ‘On Demand’ outstations, a Download Configuration window may appear when you select Download Configuration. It displays a Queue check box.
- Clear the check box if you want ClearSCADA to perform the download immediately
- Select the check box if you want the download to be queued (it will take place when ClearSCADA is next in communications with the Field Device).

NOTE: The Download Configuration action is only available for Field Devices that support application programs and configuration download. The Device Profile for your Field Device indicates whether applications and configuration download are supported (see Display a WITS Device Profile).
NOTE: There is a special type of application program called a 'sub-component' which cannot be downloaded. If your Field Device supports application program sub-components, it can only download a single program that contains its configuration and all of its sub-components in a single file. The sub-components cannot be downloaded individually.
