The Hardware Version attribute shows the hardware version for the device type to which the device profile relates.
You can find the device manufacturer's hardware version in the Device Identification section of the device profile ((see Display a WITS Device Profile)).
A Field Device has a set of DNP3 device attributes that are read by ClearSCADA whenever it establishes communications with the Field Device. The Hardware Version (ID:243) attribute should match the Hardware Version attribute in the device profile. If the versions do not match, it might mean that you are using the wrong device profile.
