I/O
Associated with: WITS Outstations.
The I/O attribute is a Health Check Status item. The attribute shows whether the Field Device has detected and reported an I/O failure to ClearSCADA. (For example, an Analogue to Digital Converter (ADC) failure). If the Field Device cannot detect I/O failures, then the Status display will not show this attribute.
The I/O attribute status can be either Failed or Healthy.
If the attribute status is Failed, then the attribute shows a description of the possible failures that the Field Device can detect. ClearSCADA may also raise an alarm. To configure this alarm, you use the Severity settings in the Health Check Logging section of the WITS tab in the Outstation Form. The default setting is for ClearSCADA to raise an alarm ((see Define the Severity for Health Check Logging)).
The Device Profile defines what constitutes an I/O failure ((see Display a WITS Device Profile)).
