Runtime Properties for WITS Runtime Points
Use the fields within the Runtime section on the Runtime tab to:
- Specify the period for which the Field Device should measure the runtime value
- Specify whether the Field Device should log the runtime value at the end of the period.
- Period—Specify the period of time (in seconds) for which the Field Device will calculate the runtime value. The minimum period is 1 second. Enter the required interval in the OPC Time Format. You can enter the value directly in the field, or use the Interval window (accessed via the field's browse button) to specify the required value.
- Offset—Specify the amount of time (in seconds) from the start of the week to when the Period begins. The start of the week is Monday at 00:00:00 UTC (that is, midnight between Sunday and Monday). Enter the required interval in the OPC Time Format. You can enter the value directly in the field, or use the Interval window (accessed via the field's browse button) to specify the required value.
Example 1:
Period: 1H, Offset: 0
Simple hourly runtime, synchronized to the hour boundary.
Example 2:
Period: 1D, Offset: 6H
Daily runtime, where the day starts at 6am UTC.
- Log End of Period—Use this check box to specify whether you want the Field Device to log the runtime value at the end of the specified Period. That is, before the End of Period Reset (see End of Period in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration). If you do this, the Field Device will log the total runtime in each Period. Select the check box to enable logging. Clear the check box to disable logging.
