WITS Minor Version (ID:2)
Associated with: WITS Field Devices.
The WITS Minor Version attribute represents the second part of the WITS version number.
Example:
An example of a full WITS version number might be 1.3. In this case, the WITS Major Version number is 1. The WITS Minor Version number is 3.
Therefore, ClearSCADA would display the following for the WITS Minor Version:
3
ClearSCADA reads this version information from the Field Device and uses it to determine which Minor Version of WITS the Field Device supports.
The WITS Minor Version attribute should match the second part of the Supported version of WITS in the device profile ((see Display a WITS Device Profile)). If the versions do not match, it means that you are using the wrong device profile. In this situation, ClearSCADA will use the version number that it has read from the Field Device.
ClearSCADA uses the WITS Minor Version information to help ensure that it only uses features that the Field Device supports.
