Default Value
This is the maximum value configured for the point's engineering range (if it has a range). For analog points, the range is zero scale to full scale. Therefore, the default maximum value is the full scale. For digital points, the range is zero to 'n - 1', where n is the number of states (for example, 0 to 1 for a 1-bit digital, 0 to 7 for a 3-bit digital). Therefore, the default maximum value is n-1. Counter points and some other point types, such as rate of change points, have no maximum value and therefore use the Wonderware Historian default (which is 100). Some other types of point (such as minimum, maximum and mean points) use their parent point for the default maximum value.
