Zoom In on an X-Y Plot

To magnify the data on an X-Y Plot so that the data is shown in greater detail:

  1. Display an X-Y Plot in Run Mode.

NOTE: The Zoom In tool is also available when you are configuring the X-Y Plot in Design mode.

  2. Either:
    1. Right-click above the X-Axis or to the right of the Y-Axis to display a context-sensitive menu.
    2. Select the Zoom In option.
    3. Repeat as necessary.

    Or:

    1. Select the Home tab on the ViewX ribbon.
    2. Select the Zoom In command from the relevant command group.
    3. Repeat as necessary.

    Or:

    1. Press the F7 function key.
    2. Repeat as necessary.

    Or:

    • Roll the mouse wheel forwards until the required level of magnification is shown.

    Or:

    1. Select the Home tab on the ViewX ribbon.
    2. Select the Zoom Box command from the relevant command group.
    3. With the left-hand mouse button depressed, draw a Zoom Box over the area you want to magnify, and then release the left-hand mouse button.
    4. Repeat as necessary.

NOTE: Zooming in on the X-Y Plot will magnify the X-Y Plot so that you can see its data in greater detail but will also reduce the amount of data you can see on the X-Y Plot display (at that level of magnification).

To decrease the level of magnification, you need to use the Zoom Out tool (see Zoom Out on an X-Y Plot).
