Show or Hide a Trace's Label

NOTICE

UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR OF APPLICATION

You can hide a trace's content in Run or Design mode. If you are working in Design mode, ensure that the required trace content remains on show when saving the plot's configuration. Content that is hidden when the configuration is saved will continue to remain hidden from view by default.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in data being omitted from display unintentionally

A trace's label is a text string that identifies the trace. When not hidden from view, the label is positioned alongside the x-axis tick (short line) that indicates the trace's position on the X-Y-Z Plot.

To show or hide a trace's label:

  1. Right-click on the tick (short line) that indicates the trace's position on the x-axis.
    A context-sensitive menu is displayed
  2. Select the Show option.
A further context-sensitive menu is displayed.
  3. Enable or disable the Label option as required.
The trace's label is shown or hidden depending whether you enabled or disabled the option.

For an example that shows an X-Y-Z Plot on which labels are hidden on some traces, see Show or Hide a Trace's Markers.

NOTE: There is also a Show>All option that you can use to show the trace, trace label, trace markers, and slice fill color associated with an individual trace. The Show>None option enables you to hide the trace, trace label, trace markers, and slice fill color associated with an individual trace (see Show or Hide the Whole Trace Entry).
