Channel State Alarm

Associated with: Outstations, including Slave outstations

This status attribute indicates whether the channel via which the outstation is communicating, or attempting to communicate, is healthy.

Possible states: Displays one of the Standard Alarm States.

If this attribute indicates that ClearSCADA has detected a problem, look at other status attributes, such as the outstation’s Comms State Alarm, State, and Quality attributes, and the channel’s status attributes, to ascertain the cause. Event Journal messages should also provide further clarification.

For further information on resolving communications problems, see Troubleshooting in the ClearSCADA Guide to Advanced Drivers.
